The space-efficient PTX10002 is designed to scale for exponential traffic growth in cloud and service provider networks. It addresses power and 100GbE interconnect challenges, and is ideal for space-constrained peering and collocation facilities and central office locations in emerging markets where space and power are at a premium.

With the PTX10002, you can build a core architecture that optimizes IPv6, label-switching router (LSR), Internet peering, and distributed metro deployments.

Powered by our custom ExpressPlus silicon, the PTX10002 scales to 6 Tbps of throughput, delivering the capacity you need for long-term investment protection. It also has the functionality required to meet IP/MPLS core router applications while eliminating the complex packet profiles found in other vendors’ over-engineered network processing units (NPUs).

By offering the industry’s highest 100GbE port density—up to 60 ports in a 2 U form factor—the PTX10002 enables you to seamlessly scale your core network from 10GbE and 40GbE architectures to 100GbE. The PTX10002 gives you a practical solution for keeping pace with evolving distributed core architecture requirements.
