NVIDIA Quadro P5000 GPU
Part Number: P5000
The NVIDIA Quadro P5000 workstation graphics card is powered by NVIDIA Pascal technology. Featuring 2560 CUDA cores and 16GB of GDDR5X memory, this dual-slot GPU can take on advanced visualization and simulation workloads producing a more realistic appearance. The P5000 can be used for designing and editing, as well as scientific and medical imaging.
Description
Equipped with the perks of Pascal architecture, the NVIDIA Quadro P5000 GPU is packed with more CUDA cores and larger frame buffers compared to the lower models. This means that the P5000 has significantly better performance when faced with complex workloads.
Performance
Built on a 16nm process, the Quadro P5000 GPU features a GP104 graphics processor that holds 7,200 million transistors. It also supports up to 2560 CUDA cores, 160 texture mapping units, 64 ROPs, and supports calculations of up to 8.9 TFLOPS. Running at 1607 MHz, Quadro P5000 can be boosted up to 1733 MHz and is able to drive four 4K screens at 120Hz, 5K displays at 60Hz, and 8K displays at 60Hz.
Memory
Distancing itself apart from the lower-end cards with 16Gb of GDDR5X memory, the Quadro P5000, is the first professional GPU to use GDDR5X memory. The card features a 256-bit memory interface with up to 288 GB/s bandwidth running at 1127 MHz, enabling the creation of expansive visual projects.
Features
The Quadro P5000 has one active fan sink with a single blower and several ports along its edge. The dual-slot graphics processing unit features the usual 4x 1.2 DisplayPorts, DVI-I, and optional stereo port. With 180W of power, this GPU supports the Quadro Sync II add-in card, allowing users to connect up to 32 displays from a single computer. A single 8-pin supplemental power connector is required.
