Touchpoint has celebrated its 15th Birthday with the grand opening of our new technical centre at our Macquarie Park location. Touchpoint staff, partners and customers were joined by special guest Jerome Laxale MP, member for Bennelong, for a plaque unveiling and ribbon cutting ceremony on Wednesday morning.

“Nick and I founded this business 15 years ago today so it is indeed a proud and special moment for us. This facility .. is designed to deliver on one of the foundations of Touchpoint’s business which is outstanding customer service.” said Touchpoint co-founder Bill Freeman.

The upgraded facilities further enhance Touchpoint’s technical services capability and ability to deliver excellent customer service to our customers including those at the Department of Defence and Prime contractors. “We now have an amazing engineering facility, to be able to execute any medium, large enterprise solution that is required by our customers. Equally as important we also have a great facility internally now to look after one of our most precious assets, which is our people.”

Co-founder Nick Asscher talked about the importance of the technical centre in supporting Touchpoint’s growth and capability in the Defence sector. “It’s an amazing watershed moment for us; 16 fantastic staff and over 1000 customers across Australia and New Zealand. And excitably more than 70% of our business is now coming from the Australian defence sector. For us this new facility really does set us up to further increase our capability, to do a really fantastic job of supporting that industry and to provide an even greater level of excellence from a technical services perspective”

Member for Bennelong Jerome Laxale complimented Touchpoint’s culture and spoke to the importance of our role in the Australian defence space in the years ahead. “I know in the time that I’ve been here how much effort you’ve put into the culture of this workplace.. To come here [to Macquarie Park] and be part of this extraordinary innovation and technology hub is a really smart and wise strategic decision. We now have Touchpoint here that will help Australia with .. sovereign capability and with that important local knowledge that we need as we grow our defence capabilities. Like minded partners in the APAC region are looking to Australia for stability. A big part of that is our cyber capability and our IT capability, Touchpoint I hope you’re part of that transition and that growth for a long time to come.”

We look forward to sharing further photos and footage from the occasion in the weeks to come.
